About this event
Spooky Universe A Special Nights Out Planetarium Show Guest Planetarium presenter Lydia Maria returns! Halloween may come just once a year, but the universe is constantly experiencing eerie phenomena. This spooky live Planetarium show will take a look at the science, history and mythology behind Halloween — uncovering the celestial connections, seasonal traditions and stories that have shaped the holiday over time.
We’ll also explore the most chilling phenomena in the cosmos — from vampire stars and cannibal galaxies to monster black holes, killer asteroids and zombie stars. Costumes are encouraged! Join us from 6–7 pm in the Astronomy Center lounge for Halloween treats and refreshments, plus a costume contest before the show.
